7 Days Double Gorilla Trekking In Uganda
The Days double gorilla trekking in gives you an opportunity to trek gorillas both in Bwindi and Mgahinga national parks and watching Wildlife species in Uganda.
Day 1: Entebbe-queen Elizabeth national park
On arrival, meet the company representative and after drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at Bush lodge.
Day 2: game drive & boat ride
Very early in the morning, go for early risers in the park. Expect to see animals like Elephants, the tree climbing lions ,Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards , warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas and many more species that are residents to this park are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland spots as we reach the Flamingoes in the salt lakes. After lunch in the afternoon it is time for the 3pm boat-cruise on Kazinga channel, lasts 2 hours. Here you have the chance to spot hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles and more along the banks of the channel Return to lodge for dinner and overnight at Bush lodge
Day 3: Kyambura gorge chimp walk-maramagambo forest
In the morning, enjoy the beautiful walk in Kyambura where you may spot the Chimpanzees and then in the afternoon, go and visit the Maramagambo forest. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight at Bush lodge
Day 4: Queen-bwindi forest
In the morning after breakfast, Transfer through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the way to Bwindi, this area is known for its tree-climbing lions. In Ishasha we will drive off in this adventurous vast savannah area with topis and the southern version of Elephants to hopefully get the Lions high in the fig tree branches. Continue the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP. Here you will experience a change in the landscape from flat savanna, via cultivated hills to junge covered mountains. Day 5: gorilla trekking.
On this day go for gorilla trekking in Bwindi National park. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is the home to the forest giants, the mountain gorillas, and on this day you get to meet them. You will set off into the forest with a specialized guide, trek through beautiful nature and finally get to spend one hour in the area where the mountain gorillas are. Besides the gorillas this Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest Elephants, Statungas and Dikers. Later have lunch and relax or rest as you wait for dinner, and in the evening transfer to Kisoro. Accommodation: Ikoro hotel .
Day 6: second gorilla tracking
Go for second gorilla tracking, this time you will track in Mgahinga, go through the briefing about the trekking exercise of gorillas, you will be accompanied by the park ranger and other porters to find the gorillas, this will take 3-5 hours to be back, in the afternoon Go for Volcano Hiking, you have to be good healthy and physically fit for this activity. Dinner and overnight at Ikoro Hotel
Day 7 : departure-Kampala
Take breakfast and then visit local markets or Craft shops for souvenir shopping after which you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back with beautiful memories of Pearl of Africa.
